Losing Weight Help - Why I Like Baby Steps

To be perfectly transparent here - I wasn't really thinking about losing weight. Help came anyway.

It came in the form of an old friend named Joe who had just joined Team Beach Body as a coach and in the process of talking about it and seeing people's before and after photos, I started to take notice.

I wanted to be slim and trim again. And I started to want it BAD - grin.

So we ordered me up a fitness DVD from their many choices. Got a good one, but I think there's one I want even more now - lol - we'll work with what we got for now ;-)

And while I waited for my snail mail I started poking around in the members area (it's free to join and get losing weight help, btw) - where I found all kinds of cool stuff.

First a quick fitness assesment quiz - and YES being a recovering Internet potatoe, I checked 'some exercise' when it asked for activity level - then got real and went back and checked 'sedentary' - lol

That popped out not only a daily calorie goal, but a weekly meal plan and an organized grocery list for that menu. Cool!

I printed off the shopping list. Felt pretty good about it too. Haven't taken it shopping yet though - grin.

But I'm cool with baby steps and here's why ... because often when I start something all hyped up and excited about it, I soon peter out or get distracted by some other shiny object along the path.

Baby steps - consistent baby steps are like the difference between being the tortise and the hare. It may feel like progress isn't happening, but I'll get there and my results will be way more effective for having developed the habit of being a baby stepper.

That make sense?

Andrea
